Shout!

hmmmm It's RATHER silly to have a SHOUT box on THIS station. These artists are all WAY too BUSY being successful (whether NOW or in the PAST), to write any thanks up in here. But let's see what DOES show up in this space for PHAMOUS IAC Artists.....

Yeah. That's right. You won't find Product Recall, pHLeGm, Sam -the Man with no Band, or IAC Heart-throb, HUGH HAMILTON, up in here. Urrrr.. uhhh...I lied; actually you WILL find Hugh, 'cause he did a SIDE project with the PHAMOUS JOE JACK TALCUM of The DEad mILkMEn. But, Hugh Hamilton aside, as endearing as all of the as-yet-unknown Indie artists are on IAC, THESE are the Artists who've aligned themselves with Indie/Underground music, but earned a HUGE audience. And they've gained a fair degree of "success" in the music scene at large. Many of them have spent significant time in the murky & mired/maniacal world of mainstream music. They've all Spent some time amongst OTHER less-known IAC Artists, on PHLEGM PHAVOURITES, but were moved HERE, to make more room for the "unknown" indies...

Yes sir. THESE are the indie/underground artists that "MADE" it. Presumably, they are on IAC NOW, as Indie Artists again, due to the current state of mainstream music & the powers-that-be.
IAC has some AMAZING artists who are still "undiscovered", at least by a broader audience. BUT THIS station, is ONLY for those who've attained at least some degree of commercial success. Whether it's as Indie or PUNK godfathers/godmothers, or simply as Artists who "MADE" it, at one time; THESE are the REAL DEAL. And HOPEFULLY, if ONE of 'em will come forward and help push IAC to the masses, we'll have a broader audience for ALL the amazing, "UNKNOWN" music on IAC.

AMAZING, that's what these folks are. Don't really understand why they would align themselves with us smalltime Indies on IAC, when they've got LUCRATIVE corporate contracts going already, though....could it be?? Indie again, like so many of us? added to station 8/29/2009 3:29:58 PM

This one of Tom's has a real Dylan-esque feel to it. ALL his tunes are KILLER, both lyrically, the UNIQUE vocal stylins of Tom, and MUSICally. Almost always CATCHY, too. Which is tough to do when your a successful artist who prefers to be on the VERY thin edges of the MainStream.... ROCK on TOM! added to station 8/5/2009 11:54:17 AM

GUIDED BY VOICES was one of my MAIN inspirations for writing my own music, and going with whatever equipment was available KEEPING takes of ALL new songs, in case something is CAUGHT, that can later be expanded and killer in the studio. HIS eclecticism and often LO-FI style are two of the things I love about him. GREAT singer/player/songwriter, who's worked with musicians from ALL WALKS OF LIFE. added to station 5/4/2009 6:38:17 AM
