Latest News: March 31st 2013. Stonewall "Stoneman" Towery has just been awarded an "Outstanding Achievement In Songwriting Award" by the Great American Songwrting Contest for his R&B/Hip-Hop song: "Throw Up The Peace Sign".

Dec. 2011 Stoneman has been awarded "Finalist" in the Song Of The Year Songwriting Contest for his song "I've Had Enough" (Hip-Hop Category).

Dec. 2011 Stoneman has been awarded "Finalist" in the Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest for his song "Say You Love Me Now" (Urban/R&B Category)

In addition to this, Stoneman has been awarded by both the 11th (2009) and 12th (2010) Annual Great American Songwriting Contest (R&B/Hip-Hop Category) Songs: "In The Hood" and "You Need Therapy". That's right! Two years in a row.

Stonewall Towery is the songwriter/producer known to many as Stoneman. He's an accomplished and much awarded artist who has demonstrated an uncanny ability to keep in time with the ever changing styles of music. Here is a list of his most recent accomplishments in songwriting:

In addition to this Stoneman has recorded and released 5 solo Cd's in 4 musical genres. Currently he is scheduled to release his 6th and 7th in 2012.

Stoneman is a graduate of Diablo Valley College's prestigious music industry studies program. While maintaining a 4.0 GPA he earned credentials in both Music Industry Studies and Recording Arts. However, Stoneman is no new comer to the music industry as he has been working as a producer, Songwriter, performer and Recording Engineer for 40+ years.

As a songwriter Stoneman has written hundreds of songs in 12 musical genres. To date, Stoneman has had 53 songs signed to a variety of European and domestic Publishers and 48 commercial releases. He has also produced and released 5 solo CD's on his own label "Hands Up Records".

As a producer Stoneman has recorded and produced hundreds of songs in 12 musical genres. He is proficient in a variety of production software including Pro Tools, Pro Logic, Cubase SX, Reason, Izotope, Harbal, Recycle, Soundforge, Sonar, N-Track, Magix and a host of other production and mastering softwares. He is also proficient in a variety of hardware consoles, Digital Recorders and an assortment of rack mount gear.

Stoneman has been performing in the music industry for over 40 years or since the tender age of 9. His primary performance skills are keyboards and vocals. He has been the lead vocalist for 30+ bands in 5 genres of music. He has toured all over California and the United States.

What makes Stoneman so unique is the fact that he is versatile and accomplished in many facets of music. He has been a music industry executive (general Manager Almaden Valley Music/ASCAP 1994-1996) and a performer which gives him special insight into all facets of the industry. His music is still current and in sync with today's styles and genres. He has collaborated with countless musicians from all over the world.

'If you don't mind Tom I would like to say something to Stoneman. What happened to the Vietnam Veterans on their return was disgraceful. It was carried out by people who were too shallow to understand the sacrifices that people fighting for their country had to make, not just the soldiers, but their families as well. Those people who spat on the Veterans failed to understand that soldiers are not the perpetrators of war, but victims of war just like those whom they have to kill. Victims who are prepared to put their life on the line for their country. I am not American, but I have a lot of respect for you Stoneman and all the Veterans of any war. I wrote a song a few years ago now called A Field of Green. The lyrics could have been a lot better, but you might care to listen to it.' Ciao, Vincenzo
