Growing up around musicians, I always wanted to try and learn guitar. I was going to start playing when I was 12, but the guy who was going to give me lessons, said that I just wanted to make noise, since I wanted to buy an amp for my guitar. So I got a little discouraged and started again when I was 17. At this point I was listening to jazz for the first time. I like to try and play things other guitarists and fans enjoy: two-hand tapping, sweep picking, whammy bar tricks, crazy effects, etc. My first group was a hip-hop band called ITIMS. 12 years later I am following the dream of releasing my own music. My song ""Metal Blues"" is a tribute to Purple Haze. I posted an ad on Craig's List to form a power trio, and that's how I met Bill. He was born in England, but has been in the US most of his life. He moved here to Nashville because of his job. The band he was working with in Idaho is called Armaggedon. I met Mark when we were seniors in high school, his family moved here from Illinois. Mark played saxophone growing up in school, and started playing bass about 7 years ago. His style reminds me of Henry Kaiser and is based on a free-form approach. Our music is mostly considered Experimental Rock/Jazz/Fusion. It is kinda like jazz fusion, but more of a mixture of classic rock sounding riffs and avant garde music. Currently we are working on the next album. Visit us at Reverbnation www.reverbnation.com/modifiedsound and SoundCloud http://soundcloud.com/modifiedsound Thanks for listening
