BARLEY STATION is a band whose music combines the roots of Americana, Pop/Rock, Country, and Folk and puts them in a blender with a dash of amaretto pouring out a tasty glass of contagious sound! The result is a distinctly alternative blend that draws deeply from its roots yet looks forward and to the future.

The engine behind Barley Station is its founder, singer/songwriter Randy Wayne Belt. Drawing from a background of varied musical influences and with a background in acting and musical theater, the music that has emerged features layers of real, organic harmonies, driving rhythms, and contagious melodies.

The songwriting covers the whole gamut of emotions moving from upbeat bright material to darker or introspective moods. The sound is punctuated throughout with rootsy alternative country, bright pop/rock to progressive folk and alternative pop/rock sensibilities.

The band's frontman, Randy Wayne Belt, has also picked up the pen, not only as a songwriter, but also as a music journalist as a contributing writer for Starlight Music Chronicles, and has been published in American Pride Magazine, Indie Habit, and A.V.A. Live Radio.

Barley Station has received Best Video Award and multiple Best Song awards from the Akademia Music Awards in 2015, and has been nominated for and "Best Country Artist" and "Best Composer/Songwriter" for the 2014 AIMA Awards and "Best Country Artist" as well as "Best Folk Artist" for the 2013 Artists In Music Awards, The group was a contestant in the 2013 Texaco Country Showdown and has done interviews with radio and magazines globally, including an extensive interview with the Entertainment Vine, numerous radio interviews, and has been featured and performed live on FOX 2 News, and on The Dave Glover Show on 97.1 FM in their home base area of St. Louis, MO.

The latest single "I've Got News" (released in August 2015) was recently accepted to be on Bongo Boy Records Compilation CD Volume 7 and it will be actively marketed to Asia via Bongo Boy Records with distribution with promotions in Asia (Hong Kong,
Macau, Taiwan, Malaysia, Japan, mainland China and more).

Their last album Damaged Goods is expected to do as reviewer Leicester Bangs (UK) says: "Where After All got their foot in the door, Damaged Goods should see them push on through.” Singles from Damaged Goods are already beginning to receive heavy rotation in radio.

The video for the song “Younger Summer Memories” has been featured on The Bongo Boy Rock n' Roll TV Show series episode 1057 which has exclusive national airtime to over 15 million viewers in the USA on 9 major cable companies. (NBCUniversalComcast, FiOS, CableVision, Time Warner, RCN, ATT Uverse, Verizon FiOS, Charter Communications, Suddenlink)
GO INDIE TV ROKU Channel in Canada, The UK and The USA

Their debut album After All was released on Feb 29, 2012 (leap day) and stayed in the top 40 in the Country/Alt. genre for four consecutive months (including two months in the top 10) on the APD Global Radio Indicator Charts TM. The album has appeared on the Roots Music Charts, and on the CMJ reporting stations that added songs into rotation, those songs broke through the top 30 by the second week. The group toured the United States to support “After All”.

Blending and bending genres a bit, Marsbands.com proclaims, "Barley Station has an addictive “twang” about their music that, honestly, I never knew I liked. In fact, I had to make a new category in the Genre section for Country just for them."

Leicester Bangs (UK) gets it just right with their review of the album, "they blend alternative country and rootsy folk-rock into a style that has all the pop appeal of the classic Jayhawks records, but remains earthy and resolutely unpolished. It’s a win / win for me, and I’m sure they’d appeal to both No Depression readers and fans of first generation country rock.."

With roots in Missouri and Texas this emerging group puts together the influences of their roots with the dynamics of the unknown tomorrow.

Double Star
With a reputation of blending and jumping around genres a bit, as usual, this one's different. The title is "Double Star". And it creates a more spacey atmosphere and is a bit more on the adult alternative side of things. (somewhat similar to "Never Leave" from the 'Damaged Goods' album) As one pre-release review stated "Double Star embodies the desire and longing to have that one special person by your side for all eternity."
