I had the opportunity to work a job with some Viet Nam vets. I got to listen to their stories about their era and returning home from an unpopular war to an ambivalent society. Their stories of the great disruption in the prime of their lives and how they coped were quite touching. This tune is for all those guys.

CARIS was inspired by one of the main characters in Ken Follett's epic novel "World Without End". She's committed and strong, smart and beautiful and also vulnerable. This is pure guitar rock in the classic style.

Telephone Rage
I spent all morning waiting for the washing machine repair man. No show, no call. I was a bit ticked off. But, I did write this ditty on the piano-simple, catchy, straight-on rock, built around a piano riff.

I keep hearing that pigs can fly. I am a skeptic. Yeah, I've been told that I'm "swineless", "dumb as a pork chop", that I have "my snout up my arse" and many other uncomplimentary bacon bits. But, I really can't see how pigs can FLY! They have to get to the airport first! And I don't think they drive either. Classic style rock, good backbeat, thumping bass.
