The self-titled CD 'The Vision' is a testimony in itself of the passion God placed in this man of God's heart....get your copy now!
New Harvest is one of the most promising new gospel groups on the road, garnering both a 1997 first place trophy in their first talent show, and a third place trophy in the Tuskegee Airmen Talent Show in 1997 in the company of rap music, R & B, and dance. Their heartfelt commitment to the Gospel, their soul-stirring musicality, and their show-stopping stage persona combine to forge an artistry that is at one time a revival and a redefinition of contemporary urban/R&B.
New Harvest began their ministry in the city of Dayton, OH from their upbringing in the Faith Deliverance Church of God in Christ. They began singing in the sunshine band, a male and female group known as Voices of Praise, and their local choir. As the young men reached their teen years, the director wanted to develop the ministry of an all-male group. The members of the group began to play their own instruments; organ, piano, synthesizers, guitar and drums, and arrange/write their own music. As time went on, their musical influences began shaping who would become as artists in their own right.
The sounds of Commissioned, Men of Standard, the Winans, John P.Kee, Kirk Franklin, laid the foundation for what has become the sound of New Harvest. These young men are grateful to the artists that have inspired them through their musical years.
Their new release entitled ""The Vision"" has become a local hit within the community of Dayton OH. It has received heavy rotation from a local artist aspect on several radio stations in the mix of national recording artists.
Their latest achievement was their selection to perform on the legendary stage at ""Showtime at the Apollo"" where legends are born and stars are made in February 2004.
By special request they performed on the INSP Network's I-Gospel program in Charlotte North Carolina in May of 2004.
Their motivation and desire to present their message of song on stage landed them a spot in The I Hear Music in the Air Conference showcase in Cincinnati OH May 2004.
In 2003, the songwriter of the group was selected to teach one of their popular songs 'I Know that He Can' to the Gospel Music Workshop of America's Youth Division Mass Choir in Tampa, Florida. Terence Hayes, Sr. daughter Alisha stepped in to the spotlight and rendered some tight lead vocals. Alisha is featured on the titled CD 'The Vision.'
The group was also selected as of 1 of 5 semifinalist receiving wave reviews from A&R personnel at the New Artist Showcase at the Singers and Musicians Conference sponsored by Dorinda Clark-Cole's Lifeline Productions.
They also garnered a nice spot as winners of the 1st Back to Holiness Conference New Artist Showcase sponsored by platinum recording artist Donnie McClurkin. Donnie McClurkin personally told them ""I love the song I Know that He can."" They were called to the stage to sing live with Donnie in concert...what a treat to this talented group!
New Harvest made another debut on The Word Network in 2001 with world renown Dr Bobby Jones at the MGM Hotel in Las Vegas NV. They performed during the New Artist Showcase Retreat! This was another remarkable event in their music career.
Their talents are limitless as evidenced by their signing a promotional deal with License Film Music, Inc., a company who connects artists who are looking for exposure with filmmakers.

New Harvest has also garnered a cover story in a national Air Force magazine featuring Ministry throughout the world, Christian Citizen USA newspaper, and other local newspapers.
We hope the listening audience can hear a new growth and note the spark of professionalism from this unsigned artist that's waiting patiently for God to open the door in the music industry.
The long awaited CD release for Dayton's own New Harvest is ready for you to bump in your ride! The year of 2004 has been a busy time for New Harvest and the group is gearing up to be more visible with the upcoming release. New Harvest national debut on the famed 'Showtime At the Apollo' has placed this group on the map with great accolades coming from afar. Joyce Lawrence from the windy city of Chicago writes ""I recently caught the group New Harvest on ""Showtime at the Apollo"" and just wanted to say how AMAZING I thought their performance was."" ""It's not easy to get on that legendary stage and perform the way New harvest did, so please let them know they made a lot of new fans with that fantastic performance--and what a great song! It's one thing to be able to sing, but
to come on and rock a new joint and one that's so catchy and positive? Well, yeah, I'm very impressed.""
Their new CD is entitled 'The Vision'. It captures the hit that placed them on the map; I Know that He Can. They wanted to record a song that their fan-base can identify with. It also gives them a chance to acknowledge two great women that took an interest in the talent of the group and songwriting of Terence O. Hayes, Sr. Ms Vanessa Brown, talent coordinator for Showtime at the Apollo and Ms Rodena Preston-Williams, Performing & Recording coordinator for the Gospel Music Workshop of America's Mass Choir and New Music. Vanessa enjoyed the talent of New Harvest and invited them to sing in New York during the Apollo's on the road search for new talent. They made a back-to-back performance in such a legendary place. ""We will never forget the experience we had on that fantastic stage at the Apollo!"" stated members from New Harvest. The staff and everyone was just wonderful.
Ms. Preston selected the track I Know that He Can because it had a youthful vibe and Terence was invited to Tampa Florida in 2003 and taught his song to the GMWA Youth Choir! It was a great opportunity teaching an original composition to new and talented voices.
The CD contains a contemporary feel of the classic ""His Eye is On the Sparrow"" which caught the I Hear Music in The Air Conference crowds attention. One of Dayton's own fine musician's and drummer; John Taylor co-produced this track adding more spice to the composition. This track will also feature the Hayes Sisters. (Sharita Hayes-Brown, Alisha Hayes, & LaTosha Hayes). Terence is proud to display the talent of his daughters. As a matter of fact Terence's eldest son (Terence, Jr.) composed the music tracks for the project. Terence, Jr. is 22 years of age and is a force to be reckoned with along with his cousin James Byrd III. They have formed a new production adventure known as TJB Productions.
Other songs will include, Higher Ground, A Brighter Day (remix) Whole Heart, a splendid ballad with the voice of Norman McDuffie taking front and center leads on I Gotta Keep Pressing On. The compact disc has a 2:00 minute praise and worship cut...it will take you to church! Lastly, the projects cover title has a tune entitled 'The Vision.' It has a full-extended version along with a radio cut. This song has a little 'Sting' vibe with some awesome guitar work laid down by Byron Crews. Bryon's guitar licks are flavored throughout the project.
New Harvest was blessed to meet a fine producer and engineer for the project; John Hughes of Hughes Digital (www.hughesdigi.com) located in Bellbrook OH. John took this project under his wings and gave it the personal attention any good producer would warrant a project that would have their name placed on it. New Harvest worked like brothers with John and Terence trusted all decisions and feedback the producer gave him to get the job done. A special thanks to Linda Hughes, Mitch and Haley Hughes, for sharing your husband and dad with us to produce some good music!!
Look for this project in stores real soon and make it a part of your library. For the vision is yet for an appointed time! New Harvest members are Joe Byrd, Tim Wilson, Jr. Norman McDuffie and Terence O. Hayes, Sr.
The CD is doing well in local retail stores and receiving heavy rotation on radio in OH!
