STOPTHEREV is the rock-n-roll love child of two musical friends from Alabama, Josh and Nick, who once played together in a synth-driven rock band called The Anna Bocci Band. One day they had an idea. They wanted to take ev'rything back to formula. After weeks and months of passing notes and exchanging ideas, the boys finally decided to combine their musical and lyrical talents and to stop worrying about finding additional musicians to record. With Nick writing and performing all of the music and Josh writing and performing all of the vocals, STOPTHEREV recorded a six-song demo EP in early 2005. Katie McElvy joined soon after on synth and backup vocals.

As much as people enjoy the EP STOPTHEREV self-produced in their practice space, most of their work goes toward their live set. Stop The Revolution shows display a mixture of high-energy performances and pre-recorded material.
