However since the end of 2007 I've focused on my solo projects - ELECTRONIC GROOVE compositions using Magix Soundpool samples. Eight completed albums to date, one in progress. They are in order: "The New Regime", "The View", "Multiverse", "Fellowship of Nature", "Higher Ground", "Z" and "Assuming Truth", "Inner Moai", "Project 9") Magix Soundpools library volumes 2004,2005,10,12,14,15,16,17,18 utilized. I am not voicing any narrative or vocals. The voices on "Higher Ground", "Z", "Assuming Truth" ad "Project 9" are from Magix Soundpool. Narrative on tracks 10-19 of "The View" are taken from YouTube audio of various topics and discussions which I placed over my composed music. All narrative credits are noted below. Should I hypothetically delve into spouting narrative in 'live' jams I tend to exemplify something in the realm of Frank Zappa, Ken Nordine or Don LaFontaine (Don's last name not related to my moniker). Regarding the musicians I've played with I've known Christian from our ol' Buffalo days. He was the drummer in the Williamsville South jazz band back in 1987 which I've listed below. It's impossible to quantify how many times we've jammed together. Bob Cushner of Baltimore, Maryland & I get together to play acoustic guitar (he sings like a bird!). Kevin Richardson is a truly a well-trained (c/o line drumming) in-the-pocket maven who also models his off-the-cuff vocal missives akin to Bob Dylan. I have many musician buds from my Rutgers days, Adam Kupper (probably THE most versatile overall musician I have ever known), seriously. Adam's been deemed "Mr. Versitility" by his other musician mates, and for good reason. All of the people whom I've met through Caesar's Fiberhead in New Brunswick, NJ - thank you Dan B. Green for bass thoughts and epic funk riffs. *dow eh OH! * Joff Kolber & Peter Paris can attest. Man, there were/are so many good musicians out there. New Brunswick's Fried Ice Cream, Knew Breed, and Buzzkill, the list goes on and on - kicked ass. In NJ jamming with Eric Olson, likely the loudest drummer of all time and consummate Rush enthusiast! Kevin Fitzgerald ... internalization is much appreciated in Annandale, VA and Zappa tracks. We have to get back into that project again don't we? Keep crankin' on that Samplitude interface Fitz. In Buffalo, my dear Peter Weisenburger - the most passionately powerful voice, RIP Brother. The multi-faceted Greg Farber - drummer/bass player/multitracker/weight lifter. Cousin Tony Grisanti - very cool. Thank you for coordinating those jazz reunion project - sorry I missed the July 2010 jam. Mark Chamberlain - excellante. Scott Colucci, you're an epic rocker Bro. Marty Olejnik hardcore in Hamburg, NY! Fungus Amongus ... reunion on 2012? The former Johnny Vegas (now Johnny Phoenix) will surely accommodate :-) Props to Woogie D, former drummer of Me n' Pete, and Elon, former guitarist of Floodroom. Too bad Plum Street Pub is closed in New Brunswick, NJ. I probably started my entire "musical career" around 1980 in the basement of 27 Susan Drive, Somerset, NJ with my first cousin, guitarist Phil Lafornara, (unless you include those winter > spring piano lessons with Mrs. Eckmelian as a kid learning pieces like Für Elise & Claire De Lune since age 6). Yes, I played that young but wasn't a prodigy in any sense of the word. Anyway, back to Somerset, NJ - Phil & I laughed ourselves silly after internalizing and learning nearly the entire "This is Spinal Tap" soundtrack subsequently destroying each rendition on our crappy instruments as we postulated gorging ourselves on Mack & Manco's Ocean City, NJ pizza! We teenagers were easily amused and hardly knew of tuners. Alas it was in 'Option' - my neighbors Dave & Joe played in Joe's basement on McNair Road where I cut my teeth actually doing something with all that piano practice. I played keyboard (the bass part too) on mostly Rush and Who covers but with the deliverance of a bass c/o Dave Masters where I sprung toward a four string destiny. I do play still piano occasionally usually with one hand while holding my young son in my other arm. Those instances, amongst others through infinite levels of separation got me acquainted with New Jersey where I followed to Rutgers College. Easton, Somerset, and Hamilton Avenues & George Street. There I met countless jammers/musical cognoscente. I remember you from afar. I attended Michael Manring's bass camp at Holy Names University in Oakland, CA from July 8-9, 2009. It was great to work on my chops again. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Compositional & Production/mastering efforts - December 2007 - present ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Lafornara / Cushner - Acoustical forays - 2009 - present ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The Lafornara / Conte / Fitzgerald / Cushner Sessions - Annandale, VA - 2006 - present ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Cut to the Chase Studio Sessions (Lafornara / Cushner / Silverman) - 2006 - 2009 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ "Slackadelics" - Baltimore, MD August 2006 to November 2008 - Paulee Silverman(l.guitar/vox), Bob Cushner(r.guitar/vox), Larry Hofmeister(keys/vox), Brett Friedman(drums), Myself(bass).
