Second Chance
Second Chance - Trace - Mark Holman - Holworks Music - ASCAP 2009
Here is more obtuse music settling in the sidelines of my soul, a facsimile of reality yet its own seperate entity that eludes solace. Is there a time when there needs to be reconciliation and progress? Again, this song is for me as I am still quite baffled by the unfamiliar housed completely in the mundane. I am aware that a one second blast from an internal radio doesn't quite allow for interpretation of the parts yet the dia

Shellcracker
Shellcracker - Natural Law - Mark Holman - Holworks Music - ASCAP 2009
Shellcracker lives on the bottom of the sand at least the fish do that are staple fun in North Carolina. These fish are among the largest of the freshwater bream species sure to give any enthusiast a tug or two. Their name comes from their habit of eating freshwater mollusks, all of which carry univalve or bivalve ornamental walls for a dwelling. It's all part of Natural Law. What do I say about a metaphor except to demons

Felinicity, the world has gone to the cats - Lions, Tigers, Leopards, Panthers, Cougars limited in form and function to the dance of the cat aloof on noiseless paws, they stalk, . . .hear their calls as they make their way through the jungle streets all with intent and purpose illuminating through their eyes. I am a paramecium or at least that is what this music thing makes me feel like - single cell with a thin membrane loaded with cilia to help me swim. So I swim upstream to what? a dream? Yep - gurss that makes me certifiable especially when I have no support. no resources, and a huge idea. Here's one for you - no cars at least once humans are able to create unnatural law like we have been. I have lots to say here.

Meet Me on Facebook
Meet Me on Facebook - Splash - Mark Holman - Holworks Music - ASCAP 2009
Meet me on Facebook is a look at how necessary social networking has become. Though I sing it simply, my decision to get involved is no longer a question of did I make the right choice as it is very apparent I did. How can Facebook allow you to see into a friend's likes and dislikes. The demographics are the mundane. The psychographics are the pudding just as she like to dance with me on Facebook. Impossible, yet very re

When You Cry Out
When You Cry Out - Natural Law - Mark Holman - Holworks Music - ASCAP 2009
I have more soulspeak coming out of my ears in this song some of which is not too intelligible from the way I sang it, or recorded it. Oh well, just a demonstration of a possibility that could be when I am magically "discovered", oh my. Just sharing a gift handed down through the generations. That it should manifest so late in life is a little baffling but welcome as it affords me the opportunity to do something I have

Bees, I love bees. They pollinate flowers. Plants would have to develop some other form of pollination if there weren't any bees. Would a flower have to rely on the wind - well this is a look at a personal relationship with the Queen Bee who simply loves honey - all over, a honey bather if you will.

She Chose Me
She Chose Me - Splash - Mark Holman - Holworks Music - ASCAP 2009 - Music chose me, plain and simple so here is my look at our courtship. Ok folks, here it is for you to listen to - not for sale as it is just a home recording of my look at her. Maybe, Lord willing, I may be able to make it into something more than it is - She likes me - She likes to say she'll be mine - I don't care where She goes - I know I can wear her clothes any day, . . .she wants me to.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for coming by my page and for your nice words about my Johnny Cash tribute song - much appreciated!!
Nice to see you still singing your heart out. Hey, I know how life can get in the way. Still my friend, music is one of life's true pleasures. Glad you're loving doing it!! As for there still being "such a long way to go", we're all climbing Music Mountain - I'm having so much fun I don't think about "getting there", I'm just living and loving the journey day after day.
I'm doing okay thanks and hope you are as well.
Best wishes always. Happy trails.

Hi Mark,
Many thanks for your message on my page and kind words about my music and songs - songs about living, loving and hurting ... songs about hopes, dreams and inspirations ... songs about life. And no problem about the other my friend - I haven't come this far in life to not be understanding. I was happy to have an opportunity to enlighten you.
You have a fine collection of songs and music here Mark. I will make it back one of these days hopefully not too far down the road to give you the listening time you deserve and see if I can find a place for another song or two on some of my other stations.
Glad to see you have hooked up with Jerry Butler here too.
Yours in the spirit of friendship and the love of music.

Holworks arrives on IAC in earnest. I am in awe of this great site. Thanks for letting me join!. Jerry you are very gracious to extoll my virtues. I hope you lose no credibility over it. As I said you are a Master musician. I am not even a whelp, yet the words adhere to the notes and my voice welcomes the opportunity to blast as a Harbor Horn to guide the Ears of the World to a small country place in North Carolina. I am honored to have even one song recorded. I am in awe of this Gift the Lord had me reveal last year. What a year it has been too.
So please if you like any of these songs, please help us make more. We have vision, the time is NOW, and we need your help. It is just me and the World. You are the World. I am just an unsettled dust mote in it.
