Some people know guitar assassin Kevin Paul from his past work with StikMen, the Blues AllStars, Chicago blues legend Bumble Bee Bob Novak and Detroit soul diva
Jan James Others know the man called Stik from his two indie solo CD's, Blucifer and Front Page Blues. Still others know him from his recent work with his band 1969, playing hits from the Woodstock era in tribute to guitar gods Jimi Hendrix, etc. However, not everyone connects Kevin’s sizzling 6 string skills to his composition, production and business achievements. Kevin produced StikMen for Young Heroes Music, Inc., co-writing all of the band’s originals and overseeing the company’s entry into Internet marketing. Some 500,000 downloads later, the company had secured a publishing administration deal with Westwood Music Group and endorsements from Hammond Organ and CoZo Speakers. StikMen was one of the Top 20 Unsigned Acts in the U.S. in 2000. Stik has recently taken on the production and co-writing chores for blues vocalist Toby Rhodes, continues to compose and produce his own compositions for release and can be seen performing regularly at festivals and corporate events as the guitar slinger for 1969. Jonathan Sanders, Gods of Music
"I think I've found heaven. No seriously, this is some of the best instrumental music I've heard in a long time, and I listen to a lot of this kind of stuff. It's got all the aspects that make a great instrumental, and Kevin ‘Stik’ Paul uses all of them to his complete advantage. If you love instrumental guitar that has groove, you'll love ‘Ixtapa.’ You'll never look at instrumental rock the same way again.”

“Kevin ‘Stik’ Paul, a Chicago guitar wizard blends sophisticated electronic sound effects into original groovy blues creating a very special modern yet timeless way of presenting that music. Along with the funky rocking 11 songs, BLUCIFER is an outstanding piece of art, a gem for aficionados of the blues guitar. Beyond the beauty of its skillful performance it offers a key to understand a new aspect of the crossroad legend, a different comprehension of Dr. Faustus´ pact with the dark forces.”
Jammin' Kay Cammon, Hostess "ShowBuzzz" television show
"Veteran lead guitarist Kevin Paul gives you the perpetual feeling that something wonderful is about to happen. That, at any moment, he might actually take flight. He successfully combines melodic improvisation with raw in-your-face power riffing. Kevin is a primordial soup of technical experience, undeniable talent and blissful creativity.”

As you listen to Stik's "Ixtapa", you won't care about genre blending, what you'll care about is that your head feels like it's going to explode from all the good things bouncing around inside. This track is a must hear. If you ignore "Ixtapa", you're ignoring what I'd place among the best of the best. Don't take my word for it, let this song take over your brain for awhile! You'll never look at instrumental rock the same way again. Jonathon Sanders, Gods Of Music

Blucifer
To really prepare yourself for the groovy sensations put on your headphones, shut off your world and get ready to be lured into the Devil´s velvety tempting trap. Forget about technical gimmicks and effects that give the sound a fresh spice. The sound is ages old deriving its true essence and expression from generations of venerable bluesmen.

Along with the funky rocking 11songs BLUCIFER is an outstanding piece of art, a gem for aficionados of the blues guitar.
