When I wrote it, I imagined the story taking place in Paris. Now Chrystelle Nammour, coincidentally living in Paris, has done a version in French (see above).

Complete Man
It's an angry song. Recorded in one take, fast. The guitar sound is not the best (it needed a set up or heavier strings) but the rawness is worth it.

From Bryon Tosoff's "Music is Truth" station:
Le Cadre Photo
Le Cadre Photo (Blurry Photograph) is beautiful rendition of a John Pippus composition which has been translated and sung so eloquently and superbly by Chrystelle Nammour. Subtle and elegant guitar fingerstyle picking provides lovely support for the wonderful voice of Chrystelle. This song should be on more stations ,but perhaps now with this boost at music is truth it will take some more notice and get the respect that is due. It is a supremely beautiful work which in French is so sweet. John's songs are full of depth and his lyrics are profound and filled with insight and understanding few can put into such words as he does. well done John for having someone else take your song and make it even more special, what an honor. added to station 6/16/2009 1:04:14 PM

Dust storm...Yes I woke up very early on wednesday morning to this scary red glow outside. It was like the light from a fire, except it didn't flicker. When I looked outside I thought I was on planet Mars. We could not see the city, the harbour bridge or the water. It was like a red fog, but you could smell dust. Everything was covered in about 3 mm of fine reddish dust that clung to anything even vertical walls. I spent most of Thursday washing down the outside of our place. The pool is still full of it even though I vacuumed to waste. It appears that we may get more of the same tomorrow...I hope not!!
Ciao,
Vincenzo

Sorry John,
The recipe is still in my head...I thought I could have written it last week, but I am a little slow at present...too many things to fix around our house!!!
I will send you the recipe though...soon!!
You are right, we are like good wine, and I don't intend getting uncorked for a while yet!!
Keep up your good work,
Vincenzo

How are you John? I see that Le Cadre Photo is still in the run, so Good Luck to you!!
I thought of you in New York while I was cooking those enormous Veal chops. I think I figured a nice way to do them, so if you ever want to try them let me know and I will send you the recipe.
