Le Cadre Photo

Chrystelle Nammour translated the lyrics of my song "Blurry Photograph" into her native French. And that's her vocal on it too. Currently #7 on the "World" chart. THANKS IAC! Download for only 50 cents!

From Bryon Tosoff's "Music is Truth" station:
Le Cadre Photo
Le Cadre Photo (Blurry Photograph) is beautiful rendition of a John Pippus composition which has been translated and sung so eloquently and superbly by Chrystelle Nammour. Subtle and elegant guitar fingerstyle picking provides lovely support for the wonderful voice of Chrystelle. This song should be on more stations ,but perhaps now with this boost at music is truth it will take some more notice and get the respect that is due. It is a supremely beautiful work which in French is so sweet. John's songs are full of depth and his lyrics are profound and filled with insight and understanding few can put into such words as he does. well done John for having someone else take your song and make it even more special, what an honor. added to station 6/16/2009 1:04:14 PM

Dust storm...Yes I woke up very early on wednesday morning to this scary red glow outside. It was like the light from a fire, except it didn't flicker. When I looked outside I thought I was on planet Mars. We could not see the city, the harbour bridge or the water. It was like a red fog, but you could smell dust. Everything was covered in about 3 mm of fine reddish dust that clung to anything even vertical walls. I spent most of Thursday washing down the outside of our place. The pool is still full of it even though I vacuumed to waste. It appears that we may get more of the same tomorrow...I hope not!!

Ciao,

Vincenzo

Sorry John,

The recipe is still in my head...I thought I could have written it last week, but I am a little slow at present...too many things to fix around our house!!!

I will send you the recipe though...soon!!

You are right, we are like good wine, and I don't intend getting uncorked for a while yet!!

Keep up your good work,

Vincenzo

How are you John? I see that Le Cadre Photo is still in the run, so Good Luck to you!!

I thought of you in New York while I was cooking those enormous Veal chops. I think I figured a nice way to do them, so if you ever want to try them let me know and I will send you the recipe.

Ciao,

Vincenzo

Seizeure Radio   Even if my song wasn't picked up by this quirky station I would link to it cuz I like the guy's taste in music. And his original reviews.
JackRadio   Wide ranging play list. Jack has put me in some stellar company. Thanks Jack.
Sunshine Coast   The Sunshine Coast is an area north of Vancouver. Joni Mitchell lives up there sometimes.
Songs of Love   Nothing but love baby, the best kind. "Loving By Design" found a home here.
Can U Dig It
The SOUND Cafe   Auset runs this station. She's an excellent singer/songwriter and she has some great song on her station.
"Le Cadre Photo" is entered in this catagory. Lots of great songs here. Nice change from the blues/folk/pop I'm used to.
I've got "Born A Genius" entered in this catagory. Vote early, vote often!
Voices -Outside The Box   Here's a fellow that takes the time to listen. And comment on the songs in a thoughtful way. Nice!
Fresh Earwax 3   Glad to see "Le Cadre Photo" getting added here.
Year of the Indie Contest Winners   The name says it all. Proud to be included in the list of winners with "Le Cadre Photo".
Canada Rocks!   Canada RAWKS
Voices of Angels   A dream come true - I'm on the same playlist as Pete Townshend. Thanks IAC and Voices of Angels for this.
Gotcha by the BLUES   Blues power. What an honour to be included.
casual favorites for wending nights   Wending nights? Whatever. I got added and so I'm linking to this playlist.
Radio FTM   Playlist includes "She Had the Runs". Huh? Crazy motherfuckers but what the hey. Indies rock. I'll check them out and get back to you on this.
BeST for MY TAsTE   Morcheeba alert!
William Miller Vol1   Another station featuring the ubiquitous and fabulous Vukicevich guy. What about a stage name Ben?
Heartland   My kind of mix: John Prine rockin' out, Sheryl Crow, and a whole lot of indies worth listening to. Thanks Heartland.
music for wintertime   Very different offering of tunes. Glad to have "Man of Constant Sorrow" included here.
This Just In II   Proud to be considered part of "the best of what's new and fresh". Thanks very much.
The Ultimate Playlist Sampler   Ultimate is right. Longest play list I've seen. An embarrassment of riches. And me. Thanks UPS.
THE ORCHARD   Adam has kindly added me to his very eclectic lineup. I appreciate his comments too.
Wish I could play like that!   Once again, I'm amazed at the excellent company I find myself in. Sure is a lot of great talent out there...
Les Canadian Chansons   A fellow Canuck. Only three songs on this station (as of this writing) and it's an honour to be one of them.
Barefoot on a Dirt-Floor   my kind of acoustic blues. "Constant Sorrow" is in good company here.
To the Moon!   I'm currently situated right next to EmmyLou on this station. I'm loving that.
Spin Doctor Radio   The Doctor will see you now. Seriously, a very tasty collection of tunes here.
IAC Artists Compilation DMD   I'm proud to included on this compilation CD for War Child.
JUST LISTEN!   Gina French has some great songs of her own, and has built up an interesting playlist.
Country Folk & Blue Shades of Grass   Once again, it's very encouraging to be picked up by another IAC member somewhere out there in the world. Thanks Lauri!
How Blue Can You Go   The place to go when you want to get the real deal on the blues.
Under the Covers   Some interesting takes on familiar songs.
Words & Music   On another list with the ubiquitous Maria Daines.
Folk Acoustic Americana   Confession: I'm linking to this page cuz I want them to add me. Plus there are some great tunes here.
Internal Affairs   Interesting idea for a station. And the strong selection of tunes reflects that.
Bob Dylan Tribute   Cool idea for a page. Dylan's influences can't be denied.
Forest of Azure   Another station supporting the War Child (Holland) project.
Midnight on frisco bay   Careful you don't run into Alcatraz... More great songs here. So many songs, so little time. Alphastates Alert!1 Angel Kiss is on the rotation.
Smile About It   Says the songs selected are "quirky and creative, with personality". I didn't know "Nothing Left To Say" could fit this description, but what the hey...
Nice Vocals   Nice double entendre on the name.... get it?.... Great mix of artists here too.
All My Love   This station manager has good ears - and not just cuz I got added!
Music with meaning   Some excellent song choices here. Vincenzo has a lot of heart and it shows in his playlist.
Falling   Great to be on a play list with Hannah Wolf. Thanks for the vote of confidence!
1969   One of the more interesting music mixes I've found on IAC. Great photo of Keith Richard too.
Chantelle Black Radio   Chantelle Black reminds me why I gravitated towards rock n' roll all those years ago. Velvets meet Shangrilas. Tough and cocky.
Music with meaning   Vincenzo runs a good playlist. Go Italia!
Gyroscope Folk   Beth has a lot of soul and it shows in her choice of artists.
The message(I get It)   I get it too.
Bent and Blue (and Sometimes Shattered)   J.P. Sharpe presents "low down, stripped down blues". We're on the same wave length,music-wise.
HUGH'S NEWS   Clever matching of songs with current events. Original and fun.
An Eclectic mix of 40 beautiful songs   yep. that says it all... glad to be included.

Two Gallants   I like these guys. I heard them do a song on an UnCut sampler CD. I forget the name of it but it was really catchy.
PIP and MERRY   Here's a station with good taste. Mellow and soulful. And an obvious connection to my name.

Woodstock Taylor   Great talent from Scotland. Land of my grandfather on my mother's side.

melodygardot   Great talent. A cut above........
