I'm originally from Sudbury, Ontario and presently live in the suburbs of Vancouver, BC. I restarted a career in 2005, I didn't think of it as a career as much as a passion and something I enjoyed doing. But that passion has swelled into a part-time career. Somehow I fit it all in in between being a mother of 3 wonderful kids, wife of 1 handsome man and a part-time job that has nothing to do with music. I have won a few singing/ writing contests over the years. I played with a band for a little over a year. Recorded an acoustic CD via my computer in 2005. A live CD in 2007 with a couple studio songs. In the summer of 2009, I finally recorded my first fully produced EP, "Taken Away' This is a journey, and as long as I continue to enjoy what I'm doing, bring smiles to peoples faces, and my family supports me then it's a journey worth following. Currently I host 2 weekly open mics. Wednesday & Fridays (8-10) at El Barrio Restaurante, 2270 E. Hastings, Vancouver. www.elbarrio.ca Sundays I lead Worship Services at the Open Door Church @ 11391 Dartford St, Maple Ridge. www.opendoorfamily.ca and the occasional worship service at a Nursing Home. 8/13/2009 12:49:32 AM Carolyn thank you so much for your answer at the blog...that time cant be bought or bought back " thing you said, stood out so much, i have had the same thoughts about things in the past and not being there for others when I was pursuing my own ambitions and self importance and when you come right down to it, it is more important to care for yourself with time for ones self and placing people over things or ignoring supposed special opportunities sometimes is the way to go.....so thank you for your insightful comment, some wisdom indeed ,perhaps from experience again thanks cheers bryon
