Formed in July 2006 The Big River Bandits, formerly known as The Big River Band are a 5-piece Americana/country band from The UK. Their unique sound is a blend of new and old style southern and country rock, swing, rockabilly and traditional country music. They have a wide repertoire of original songs and great covers from artistes such as Bonnie Raitt, Martina McBride, Gretchen Wilson, Alan Jackson, Patsy Cline and Gary Allen, appealing to themed events, line dancers, freestyle dancers, couples and listeners. As entertainers they offer a refreshing new approach to country music with an exciting and exuberant live performance. Lead vocalists Renee Sears and Gerry Power, also playing lead guitar wrote the 12 original songs on their debut album, ‘The Single Life’, which has been receiving radio airplay around the world with great reviews from DJ’s and major publications such as ‘Country Music People’. They have been featured artist of the week on many local radio and internet shows and Renee has given several radio interviews. Three of their songs have been included on promotional compilations released by Hanging Tree Records in The USA. ‘High Wire’ reached number 11 in The UK’s official unsigned charts this year and ‘I’m Doin’ Fine’ was voted ‘Track Of The Day’ on garageband.com. Their second album is to be released in 2009. 9/5/2009 9:44:02 PM I've just to say thank you for your songs "Let's talk a walk" is my favourite. Lovely playing and vocals and the mood is so light and I can see this song in a movie with people dancing. What a great scene it would be. It's a lovely song for a gig as well, people are not going to sit still, that's for sure, everyone will be clapping and moving in a beat of the music. Nadia
