Deirdre to Appear on RSN-TV
Following previous appearances in February and June of 2009, Singer/Songwriter, Deirdre Leah Faegre will again grace the airways of *RSN-TV this Thursday, January 21st 2010...
In her February, 2009 appearance on Brandi Ledbetter’s 'Tahoe Tonight,’ Deirdre performed Joni Mitchell’s anthemic, inside looking out historical epic, ‘Woodstock’ on piano; and in her subsequent encore appearance on ‘Tahoe Tonight’ in June, Deirdre performed Joni Mitchell’s ‘A Case of You’ on dulcimer which is found on her debut CD, ‘Shining In My Hair.’
For her Thursday, January 21st appearance, Deirdre will perform on guitar, ‘Peoples’ Parties’ from Joni Mitchell’s commercially and critically acclaimed most successful 1974 folk/jazz studio album, ‘Court and Spark.’
Following on the heels of previous commercial licensing successes, Edizioni Centro Studi Erickson Srl, an Italian publishing house based in Gardolo, Trento, Italy has licensed Deirdre’s title cut from her CD, 'Shining In My Hair' for inclusion on DVD for their research on Asperger Syndrome, an autism spectrum disorder affecting significant difficulties in social interaction, along with restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests and differing from other autism spectrum disorders by its relative preservation of linguistic and cognitive development, physical clumsiness and atypical use of language.

On Top Of a Cloud announced today that Edizioni Centro Studi Erickson Srl, an Italian publishing house based in Gardolo, Trento, Italy has licensed Deirdre Leah Faegre’s 'Shining In My Hair' for inclusion on DVD for their research on Asperger Syndrome, an autism spectrum disorder affecting significant difficulties in social interaction, along with restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests and differing from other autism spectrum disorders by its relative preservation of linguistic and cognitive development, physical clumsiness and atypical use of language.
According to Sara Modens of Edizioni Centro Studi Erickson, “We are preparing a book on Asperger syndrome with a DVD where we would like to insert the following music: 'Shining In My Hair', by Deirdre Leah Faegre. We would be grateful to receive your permission to use the above mentioned music so that the piece can be reproduced in the DVD that will be enclosed with the book.”

On Top Of a Cloud Announces Mini-Series Consideration of 'Across the Universe'
On Top Of a Cloud has revealed today following correspondence yesterday with Nicole Sanzio, Creative Director and CEO of InDigi Music, that Deirdre Leah Faegre's most recent release, Lennon/McCartney's 'Across the Universe' has been forwarded by InDigi Music c/o Multi Music & Media Group to the producers of 'The Prisoner, ' a modern take on the 1960s British cult television series starring the late great Patrick McGoohan for musical consideration in the reinterpretation of the British 1960s cult hit series.

On Top Of a Cloud Owner and Founder, Leland Thomas Faegre who also arranged and produced the Beatles cover, was delighted by the decision. "Even if the music supervisors ultimately decide not to place Deirdre's version of the song in the year-end mini-series, it will not be because it fails to measure up to industry standards for production. Reputable publishers such as InDigi can't waste the time of music supervisors and producers by sending material that is not suited for the project," Faegre said.
"The criteria for music placement and synchronization in visual production is not science," the 55 year-old arranger-composer observed. "More often than not, what appears to be a good fit at first glance can easily be a size too large or too small."
'Across the Universe' was over a year in production at On Top Of a Cloud, Lake Tahoe. Deirdre's fifth single, 'Big Yellow Taxi' is due to be released May 11, 2009.

A neighborhood coming of age story about the challenge of conquering 'Indian Hill Road' on a bicycle; a feat that separates the “little kids” from the “big kids” in their neighborhood.

PORTLAND, CT — A local screening of 'Indian Hill' will be held on Feb. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brownstone Intermediate School Auditorium, 314 Main St. Doors open at 6 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., there will be a slide show of cast and crew from the set, to the complete versions of the songs used in the movie (this is on the finished DVDs). At 7 p.m. is the showing of the full film, "Indian Hill" (24 minutes). At 7:30 p.m., town native and director Jack Kearney will introduce the cast and crew, hand out DVDs and answer questions.
