Hello to all and thanks for passing by. I guess I've been here at IAC long enough to dispense with formal intros but if you like blues-rock, 1960s music, soundtracks, guitar instrumentals and/or a bit of jazz you're in the right place. Sorry to have been such a stranger in the latter part of 2008 - was busy with a few personal/family things, work and trying to find a few alternate ways to garner some meager earnings through my music. I've been doing a lot of recording (my thanks to those who've added the results of those sessions to their stations) and have a record called "Donatello Soul" coming out through Tunecore on March 7. It's got some good bluesy, rocking stuff on it. Best to y'all in these tough times and hope you're all managing to hang in there. Cheers!
Django Getaway Rocking little spy-surf piece that sounds a bit like Django had he survived into the '60s and been exposed to beat music.
People Still Smoke I'm not a smoker and have no love for the DC/In-Haleywood Sir Walter Raleigh lobby but imho the nanny state is NOT the answer; hands off - live and let live.
7/29/2009 7:30:53 AM Hi Carl glad you have been busy recording...I haven't been so much...haven't been writing...been too busy just trying to survive these days. Hope all is well.
5/17/2009 9:50:00 PM Greetings, Kind Sir...I thought we had had a "Boston" chat, but perhaps I was channeling Til Tuesday... xo, H
5/17/2009 1:17:24 PM Hi Carl, Thanks for stopping by, My family in Italy are well, except that they lost their home, At least until the Italian engineers decide on the state of the buildings. The other house they owned collapsed just after my nephew got his family out!! Tough for them, but it could have been a lot worse!! Ciao and have barbera for me!!
5/12/2009 9:00:26 AM Hi Carl, Down at the rumpus room should have been a HIt in the 60s!!! Ciao, Vincenzo
2/21/2009 10:16:32 AM Hi Carl, Good to hear from you, great photo by the way. I am happy to hear about your mother in law, that is good news. We had a wonderful trip, but now having been away so long we have a lot to do around our house, which will keep us busy for a while. By the way did you see the video of my old band on Utube? somebody posted it. I don't think is one of the band members, because they spelled the name of the song incorrectly, from Questa Bambolina di Guai to Quella .... Should be Questa. Have a look if you get a chance, so you can see that I did have hair once!!! When things settle down, I will come back and listen to your stuff. I have a few new instrumentals on the pipeline, but I have had no chance to put them down yet. I am working on "I Dream Of a World", but I think that the melody is a bit weak. I also have to work on the ending vocals. Anyway, great to hear from you as I said, so talk to you soon.. Vincenzo
