More than just the name of a recording label and studio, Shoe City Sound is the creative home of Dolores Paradise and DJ Julio. They started out as vanguard in the Boston New Wave scene in the 1980’s, and were recognized for having highlighted the more artful and atmospheric aspects of that genre. Citing influences such as Impressionism, Motown, Euro Pop, World, and modern Chill-Out/downtempo electronica they are ever inventive and seeking out new space. Dolores Paradise and DJ Julio are creating music for a new century, and a world without barriers. Sonically rich and relevant, this music reminds us that beauty and truth still exist in an era which sorely lacks both.
Greed Greed in the USA and the antidote - truth ......
Hope a comment on where it seems we are now - so many opposing forces, natural and political .... everyone has the choice to think in a hopeful direction rather than feed the fear that is also all around

1/20/2012 3:06:45 PM Hey Delores, Thanks so much for listening to "Feels Like Saturday Night" and glad you like it. Jazz was my first genre as I was a Sax/Trumpet player in a Jazz band in my early teen years. So, I guess I keep coming back to where I started every now and then because it is near and dear to my heart. Although I seldom play horns now due to health issues, I am working on a horn version of this song with one of my horn playing friends. I was a Grover Washington jr./Cannonball Adderly fan when I was growing up. Anyway, hope all is going well for you so far in 2012. Looking forward to hearing new music from you. Keep me posted. I have lots of new projects in the works also. Much Respect & Blessings, Stoneman
