My name is Davide Swarup, a musician mostly playing in the streets but also in clubs and party, based in Amsterdam.Here and there few international appearances as guest musicians in Italy with the Italian Hang Quintet, Russia with the Ivanov Brothers and Turkey with Goksel Baktagir.
At the present moment I' am busy with a group of friends/artists with a monthly benefit

Music for Hang it's a "one take live solo Cd", all made in one full afternoon, with this beautiful new instrument invented in Switzerland in 2000 from PANArt, the Hang.To get the feeling of the live acoustic sound I suggest to put headphone, no too loud:)

A new sound for your hears with nice moments of sound and space but also groove dance compositions.The harmony of melody and percussion in one instrument.It has been invented by a woman and a man :)
I can say that the tracks you will hear are unique pieces cause it's all improvised.I can't even repeat again the exact composition.
Only three track melodies was in my mind: Moods, that was so long in one take so it has been cut in three parts, Busking & And the Groove, my first composition.
All the rest came in the moment more or less!
"Music for Hang" has been played only once you can say.
For me and the Hang it is matter of moods so sometimes the magic harmony happen, sometimes not.
Maybe you will be lucky if you will look around the streets of A'dam!

Hi loving the Hang Drum very cool instrument very mellow music thanks. I have made a song with a hang drum in sample form took me by surprise how good it sounded. I would love to hear your opinion on the song and if i,m any way close with the hang drum.

Beautiful work Davide! So sorry for my delay in coming by... afraid I am quite overloaded with many tasks, sometimes it takes a while to catch up with everyone. But I finally got to listen in closely and am really enjoying your tunes.

Interesting sound!
Reminds me of amixture of Steel pans, a drum, but with almost harp like overtones.
Must make agreat street instrument!

I listened to some of your songs too and I really like The Hang. I can here all kinds of possibilities in my head. I may have to get myself one...... Do you give lessons too? Ha Ha Ha.

Excellent stuff, Davide. I'd heard of a Hang, but this is the first time I've actually heard one played by someone who knows what he's doing. I like the improvisational approach.
