After the Storm
After the anxious hours spent yesterday while the site and artist’s pages were not accessible due to problems that our server provider had with their hardware and related equipment I’m sure that I speak for everyone when I say there was a huge sigh of relief when they were able to restore our database. Some may have noticed though that off site IAC music players were still functioning – one small sign that IAC itself was still alive and playing our members songs and music.
When such things beyond our control occur without warning it leaves us no opportunity to advise or to fore-warn the membership or to let you know the reason for it happening. I know it is all too easy to think the worst but I want to assure you that the ship is on course and that we are continuing to work on projects and plans to add new features, upgrades and improvements to the site for the benefit of all members.
My thanks to IAC support staff and programmers, administration and my management team who worked through the day yesterday and into the night staying in contact with the server provider as well as creating a mirrored back up data base and working with me throughout the day reviewing options to hopefully avoid having a future occurrence.
I would like to also extend my thanks and appreciation to all members for your patience and understanding and for your continued trust and support.

Thank you for providing that information. If information is power then you're doing what John Lennon advocated when he sang "Power to the people!" (RIGHT ON!)
IAC is in good hands.

I had no doubts or worries - changes are happening and things can't go smoothly 100% of the time - computers - sometimes they work, sometimes they don't :)
Thanks for keeping everyone informed and keep up the good work!

Everything that is man made eventually has problems, breakdowns, screw ups, shut downs etc. But it is good to know that you are doing your best to not only rectify the problems but, to keep us informed of your efforts.
Much Appreciated,
Stoneman
