Song comments you'll never read in a music site critique
1. Your song was good, I enjoyed it, but then I saw your artist pic and barfed. After mulling it over further, I've concluded the song sucks.
2. You should ditch the verses and chorus and just use the bridge. To jump off of!
3. The lyrics were the best part. (said on an instrumental)
4. Your song climbed out of the speakers and massaged my private parts.
5. The panflute solo rocked!
6. After listening to your tune, I wrote IAC to ask if I could take back the listen cause I felt guilty that I helped that atrocious song go up the charts.
7. I listened to your song naked and danced in front of my webcam then I put it on You Tube, here's the link!
8. That was not alternative modern rock, I'm suing you for false advertising.
9. You think your song should be on Hitline but really it should be on Shitline.
10. I put a link to your music on My Space to scare away fake friends.

Well Fly you haven't been around as long as me but I have actually seen many of these comments (including #4 and #7 haha) NOT on IAC of course. On IAC we are much more subtle and say things like....."Good luck with that" or "Interesting" or "Well it's not a genre that I usually listen to but..."

Fly on the wall,
Why is it that people today feel the need to propogate these negative comments?Then if you pressed them the same person could not find a nice thing to say.
My policy on comments is that I only leave positve ones.
I have written music reviews that had some negative comments. These were after some one specifically asked for reviews and I keep my reviews honest and fair. On Garageband.com my music reviews scored 90 % with the people that get the reviews.
My feeling is this music is supposed to matter if invokes a I love it or I hate it response then you have done the job. Take heart in the fact that your music has impacted people enough to leave a comment.
Just my opinion.
