Miles Davis once said in an interview I saw on a DVD that he liked that "street sound". I think I know what he meant. There was a "roughness" in the sound that he found most interesting. I like that "dirty" sound. Sometimes loud, obnoxious, monotonous and chaotic with heavy beats. To each his own. Let me wallow in the mud pit of muzak, if you will...
