Acoustic ballad

fiogf49gjkf0d
Mercy, why don't you have some mercy
You don't wanna talk about it,
And I ain't listenin' no more,
High tide, comin' from the low side,
You wanna know what I think,
I'd tell you if I could.

Fallin' I'm fallin' down,
On your hallowed ground,
Why don't you make this up to me,
And I won't let you down,
I won't let you down.

Help me, why don't you wanna help me,
You gotta do it your way,
And I'll be left behind.
Sometimes, heaven is a long climb,
You wanna know the story,
I'll tell you it in time.

Special Mention Non-Country Song: A terrific ballad by Maria Daines. Love this acoustic track and Maria's heartfelt performance. Just plain great!

Songs In A Cathedral
What a beautiful gut wrencher this one is. An extraordinary song, delivered by the voice of an angel. The lyrics, exceptional. The acoustic guitar playing, outstanding. I am so moved by the power and the longing of this piece... Golden Kayak for Best song in "Easy listening/Soft Rock. Yay Maria and Paul!!!!

This woman sounds pretty down. Dang.

Suspended In Gaffa
What a voice! And a heart of gold

Spirit Songs
Beautiful, plaintive heartcry.

The Noise Collector
A very beautiful song that is supposedly about mercy, but I hear it more as about a couple who is arguing a lot and never giving in to the other - so this song is unusual, I feel, in that the singer feels is giving up being right in order to get along. Wide open to interpretation.

TEXAS JAKES MILLION WATT RADIO !
This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. It lives inside me.T.J.

Byronic Musings
There are many great voices in the music business, and a few great singers. Great singers with great voices are all too rare, because a dollar driven world can't deal with them - and there's just not many around ! So I'm going treasure the combination outlined above, with a very fine song.

Church of the Red Room
Mercy by Maria Daines is simply beautiful! Her passion is inescapable as she has the power to permeate the soul through the ears. And as is usual the lyrics are straight from the heart! -M-

THE SAD SONGS
Maria Daines fronts a hard working no nonsense rock band playing original material written by Maria & guitarist Paul Killington. Hailing from Cambridgeshire, UK, they formed in 1996 becoming a fixture of the live music scene & making several TV appearances, garnering fans in over 20 countries. BBC radio features tracks regularly along with FM stations world wide. In August 2007 the band supported US artist Pink at Cardiff Arena, the concert raised over £90,000 for six animal welfare charities. Maria & Paul continue to work ceaselessly on the many facets of their songwriting with project pieces finding placement in TV/film production. Daines/Killington songs are published by NorthStar Music UK & available for artist consideration
