Instrumental music, mostly guitar driven but anything with a great arrangement and strong melodies are what I like. Vocals welcome.
Back in the day and not so long ago, when "radio" was received over the air only, I always thought I would like a turn to be able to select a playlist that I thought represented what I liked and what never got played on the radio.

You knew it could never happen. You felt like you were one of the few who liked what you liked but you never really knew until they all showed up at a concert.

I still can't control commercial radio but I can turn it off. It occured to me that as I browse around listening to people's tracks, that I really could start compiling a list of songs that appeal to me for whatever reason through IAC.

The talent that is available to be heard through the internet is truly amazing. But to find the good stuff you have to weed through some not so good recordings/songs/writing. Of course, it's all subjective.

What you'll find here are songs that range from kooky to etheral. But somewhere they all have an esthetic that links them all together.

Since I can't compile a public playlist of the great artists I have loved over the years - WTOZ Radio can be a new beginning of great Independent Music happening now and in the future.

 Two songs for the price of one, really, on this one. First half is a rock progression of varying time signatures. Second half is just a cool melody over a chord progession that was taken from an old bass riff off a DAT machine. "Elephants" became the title when only the 1st half existed. Don't remember why. The 2 pieces of music were fused together because by themselves...there were no ideas to expand on them as they were.
