Nice work on the Lead Guitar by Dave Vidal (The Fabricators) Buddy Love Guitar Rhythm and Lead, some fine crashing powerful kicking out drumming by Paul Nixon (downchild blues band) and keeping it in the pocket is the big fat bass too. Another one of my personal favs of Summers This cd did well with fine radio play in Australia, Europe and many regional stations in the USA...

This actually is a really great piece of work. It has a sweet groove going on and perhaps it is those haunting vocals that is happening that piques my attention to the songs unique quality. Muriel's vocals are unusual ( in a good way)and at times I detect a pleading spirit asking for special help in a prayerful hopeful way, muriel captured that aspect very well and it pours out superbly. Yes it has lots of soulful bluesin' vocals and some down to earth heart felt expressive interpretation of Steve Aprils lyrical content. Very well written and put together, cool progressions indeed. Muriel kicks it out nicely and you can feel the loving in ."Love needs Water"..Nice hook line there Steve and also very fine production of the song. I will add that there is superb musicianship by all with some finely woven instrumentation throughout and also to top it all off is the stellar Lead Guitar performance by Ed Wells, fine chops my man....nice to have Muriel show up and give it here at my new station..........BLUES MUSIC IS TRUTH.....bryon t.

About 3 years ago I helped out Ken Tucker with some promotions here in Canada some in Australia and Europe
As it turns out his CD Charted on the College Blues charts across Canada and received some real fine airplay in OZ and in parts of Europe too...
Ken had been burned by an unscrupulous radio promoter who took his money but did nothing for him, totally scammed out and ripped off, Well I happened to read his posting at a blues site and got in touch with him and we had some nice chats and established a game plan that suited his budget...Ken is a caring and considerate man and it is too bad other people show such disregard for artists and their hard earned money and more importantly attack the very core of their being by their heartless and reckless actions.....anyways a little story on how I helped the Man out. And as the Song says The Sun is Always Shinin' now...

Summer from Summer and the Sinners is not only a terrific singer, but a real down to earth nice person. I had the privilege of promoting Summer and her group during the years 2004-2007. They released 3 albums.....
Summer has one of the finest blues voices out there bar none. she could really pound out the blues and really sang with passion and heart. A pleasure to work with and hope to work with her and Buddy again someday (Buddy is a superb blues guitarist with some of the finest chops you will ever hear and really gives her on this rendition of hope and Pary, I hope to work with them again someday. check there site out for more about them

One of the top notch entertainers-performers in the blues biz bar none..A Canadian treasure in the entertainment business and well known throughout much of the USA Canada Blues circuit..
The Dog has the chops on both vox and harp. Writes songs with a keen insight on life, he cuts to the chase and kicks it out with passion and flair. he blows that Mississippi sax like nobody else IMO, he is the best there is IMO on the harp do a full on review on all his 3 songs here in the near future

This song is a Country Blues tune with a twangy twist and some fine fiddle and a big swath of drums cutting through the mix, pretty cool original....I first met Joe in 2005 at a Wired Monk where I went and heard him perform and saw him one other time with another artist in White Rock. Man can the guy pick a mean guitar.....Another real fine prince of a guy whom I had the opportunity to get his music out on Canadian Radio via DMDS and some College and radiosubmit.com his music says a lot about him
Pleasure to work for a real fine down to earth guy.....
Check out his site for a few other gems, he was a Kerrville Texas folk fest finalist for fingerstyle pickin. Also was a finalist in the Fingerpicking contest in Winfield, Kansas. ......Joe has released 3 cds and a new one is about to come out for 2009

Poor Mans River
A Pounding begins on my head with that big honking drum kit
and that funky plunking on the banjo kills me,superb, what a great idea to use this fine old instrument very cool groove happening here , that is keeping it in the pocket. Rootsy to the bone is this tune and those vocals they does rips the flesh right off you with the gritty monotonal vox . do your vocal chords hurt. mine do just listening.
The bass is really very complimentary supporting the whole thing, quite melodic even. so cool . Especially love the bridge "on my way" which they go do a cappela at the end of the song.this is actually one of my favs and I have put it up on a couple of other stations. Great song guys.Canadians Rock!

whoa now, ok ,This one grabs me..let me catch my breath. alright.. I am ok now., wow.. this is an absolutely kick ass tune,. sorry I usually dont go there , but this one time I will say kick ass. What a vocal range. It is a very exciting and energy ridden cool song..So dynamic and a dynamite piece of work, what a huge talent DirgeK displayed in her works. This one is somewhat in the vein of a quasi style underground blues with a twist of funk.Definitely unique. Love the way she starts and finishes it too. Great guitar work too, well connected to DirgeK and playing off of her vocals so well, nice touches of bass scattered throughout the song , percussion was on the verge of jazz and funk all fusioned out...one of the coolest bluesin funkin jazzed out experimental songs at IAC......it is going to be one of my favs.

I got a call one day in 2005 from this fellow from way down in Virginia and he wanted me to help promote his albums. Chet Chandler (aka Memphis Gold) wanted some assistance and support in getting his music going and I got him some fine airplay across Canada and in a number of US regions as well as airplay in Australia and Europe. His music is still getting spins from the efforts I put in. residuals effects are so nice.
