A little friend on tiny feet. One that I was glad to meet A cheeky face and glowing eyes. A rescue dog, his mother's pride I knew you'd lived a happy life. Far from early pain and strife So long ago, at one month old, Moonflower took you into the fold. She nurtured you with caring hands, including you in all her plans. You saw the wounded as they came. One by one, lost, stranded, lame - you gave them courage, shared your space. Your toys and food, your quiet place. You watched them heal with love and care knowing you had once been there And through it all your days were bright, with kindness, fun and peaceful nights You felt the warmth of family ties, and knew your trust was recognised. Days rolled past to golden years - Tonight our smiles turn to tears For you have journeyed to the rainbow's end, and over the bridge you will meet old friends. You will know who needs a gentle paw, for you have been at danger's door. You know how it feels when the world seems blue because you rescued the lonely too. A dog in a million, a warrior soul - If only time didn't take its toll. You will never be forgotten, your heart lives on. For those you loved, a special bond. Sleep safe little Alfy, a blessing of joy. And know that your spirit is with us sweet boy. _______________















I have loved animals all my life. When I was a child we had many pets and my mother taught us to respect animals and to care for them properly. We had dogs and cats and a pony that I adored. I believe in love and kindness for all living creatures. Compassion makes the world go round and without compassion there is no hope for peace.

I am lucky to be able to use my voice to stand up for animals in distress and I will continue to write songs for those that have no voice, for the lost, the lonely, the forgotten, the unwanted, the battered and the broken. I can think of no better reason to create music, and I would like to make a difference that I can feel in my heart, and share with others.

For all the animals that suffer in this world, there must be a friend. Through my association with Mary-Alice Pollard, Cornwall's Voice for Animals and Paola Ghidotti Director of OIPA Office, I am blessed to be one of many friends to the animals.

We have a voice and we can USE IT!!

Ten decades ago Pope Gregory the third issued an order totally prohibiting the use of horseflesh for human consumption.

“Nobody is allowed to close his or her eyes and pretend they cannot see the suffering, nobody can relieve themselves of the weight of responsibility- when an animal is badly treated; when the cry of animals dying of thirst in transport reaches no one; when slaughterhouses are filled with so much cruelty; when animals die in pain for our dinner plates; when animals suffer because of ruthless people we should all be blamed…. Respect for life requires us all to seek opportunities to help animals in every possible way, knowing as we do the scale of evil caused to animals” Albert Schweitzer.

Born to Champion parents on April 25th., 2003, he was unwanted because of his two coloured eyes and in October 2003 when he was only 8 months old, he was sent to market,there he was saved from the butcher who was bidding on him - and came to live with us here to us in Cornwall on our Jollity Farm - life would not be the same without him !

Animaline is a safe place for sick, injured, orphaned, abandoned and cruelly treated animals. No creature is ever turned away and we do not practise euthanasia unless it is for the sole benefit of the animal. We are home to wild and domestic animals - sheep, cows, horses and water birds of every kind. Our aim is to rehabilitate the wildlife back to the wild where they belong. Those unable to be released remain at Animaline and given the chance of a happy life.
