Somehow I missed out on the phenomenon that was "The Boy Who Heard Music". Guess I never considered that a superstar like Pete would personally get involved online - how wrong can one person be? Now the participants are no longer faceless.

SILVERWOOD KIWI MUSIC   from New Zealand, my spiritual home (even though I've never been there)

The Field   The music of The Field is written, composed and played by Seán Nolan, Dáire Lawlor and Tom Pigot with Paul Kennedy adding his surreal percussion, flute and tin whistle.
Pete Townshend   If there is a more multi talented individual on this planet, I've yet to hear of him.

Finally my own radio station! Reminds me of my university radio days at CHRW where I could spend hours finding obscure stuff from the most amazing back catalogue to share with the listeners.
Anything and everything ... from the strange to wonderful ... All over the road musically. I have created AOR Overflow as a station where no one has to be left out. That is where you will find quirky songs, multiple songs by the same artist, and loads of songs which might not help give me a good chart position but which deserve to be heard nonetheless.

really like the guitar work on this ... percussion seems a bit more latin that Arabic ... would love to hear this melody arranged with more exotic instrumentation and time signatures to evoke more of a desert ambience. Si Beag Si Mor
One of harper Turloch O Carolan's (West Meath c 1670) best known compositions. The name (pronounced - and sometimes spelled as - "sheebeg, sheemore") means "Little Fairy, Big Fairy" and refers to a local legend from Co. Leitrim concerning a war between two fairy armies. Other sources, however, claim that the title is taken from the names of two hills near the estate of Squire George Reynolds, one of O'Carolan's first patrons. http://www.qmcorp.net/bbworks/sibeag/ added to station 1/29/2008 6:05:28 PM
