Morgann McClanahan is a singer/songwriter from Nashville, Tenn. She grew up a coal miner's daughter in the blue collar Appalachian town of Rowe, Va. She spent most of her childhood singing gospel music, jumping at every opportunity to perform in her little country church. It was there that she would gain exposure to the tight mountain harmonies and soulful anthems that would become the framework for her songs. Now, at 20 years old, Morgann has expanded her music to include country, with an infusion of pop/rock and soul. Her unique voice, coupled with her prolific writing, create a sound that is magical, yet undeniably real.
